Lisa Price is truly inspiring as a crafty bizness woman. Thanks to the help of etsy and her adorable block printed towels, aprons, and other jazz, she’s been able to successfully make her bidness, Art Goodies, her full time job. And that is just awesome, says the extremely tired blogger who just worked a sixteen hour shift (or, rather, two shifts of 9 and 7 hours each, respectively) but still has time to show you pictures of great stuff like this before she crashes out only to get 5.5 hours of sleep and has to do it all over again (not that I am complaining! I love my new job!):

Anyway, its awesome. She’s awesome. The world is awesome! Too tired to be funny. Night night!

God, I love tee shirts. Seriously, I have way too many of the damn things. But yet I always find room to get more goodies from Mary Ink any time I see them at a show. Super soft shirts, great designs, and such friendly people. Below see my current favorite tee. Don’t copy me. Fine, you can, just call me when you are going to wear it.

After two years of doing Sheriff Peanut full time, as well as about five billion jobs on the side, our fearless leader, Norah (who feels awkward writing this in the third person so she/i am about to change tenses up in here), got a real live grown up job! I am super super excited about it, and not just cause I won’t have to cross my fingers every time we write a mortgage check. What does this mean for you, gentle reader? Not much will change for you, except that I will only be shipping on Mondays from now on, and I probably won’t get to as many craft shows. But other than that, we’ll still be here for all your wackadoodle tee shirts and zany onesie needs. Stay tuned for new designs soon! Party!

I sat next to the Twee girls at Renegade San Fran. Despite them never having heard of R. Kelly (WEIRD, RIGHT?!?!? Maybe Canada IS a lot different!), they were very patient with me staring at all their beautiful wood jewelry for two days before I made my decision. Not only are their various rings, pendents, earring, bolo ties (you heard me) and other goodies beautiful to look at, but they feel nice to touch too. Maybe I’m just a weirdo. MAYBE I SAID!

For a vegetarian, I am unusually obsessed with hot dogs. I eat at Hot Doug’s as often as I can (even had him cater my wedding), this is like my favorite thing ever, and I have contemplated a hot dog tattoo….but this picture takes the cake. Er, the bun. I dunno. Whatever. Its funny!

Every time I run into Happy Owl’s Tracy at a craft fair, I go nuts buying as many of her animal themed fused glass badges as I could carry. I think I have to start purchasing the pendants though, now that she is offering a customize it yourself dealy on her etsy shop! Check it out here.

I know this is a little late, but I just wanted to give a shout out to Washington DC’s Crafty Bastards craft fair! As usual, everyone was amazing, from the organizers and the volunteers to the customers. I love doing this fair, and not just cause I get a chance to see my nieces, who live in Arlington. I didn’t get to leave my booth much, despite my mother being there to help (thanks, Ma!), but I did get to run by and see my buddies David and Maggie from Loyalty & Blood, Vic and Charlie from Girlypants, Kelly and Kasey from Biggs and Featherbelle and Jeni and Yuko from Saltlick, NYC. Other than that I didn’t really get to leave my booth. I didn’t get much of a chance to mess around in DC either, but we did go to the Phillips Collection and saw a lot of fantastic modern art and to the Jim Henson exhibit at the Smithsonian, which was AWESOME.
In other Crafty Bastard news, thanks to everyone who voted for me in the Craftiest Bastard ‘08 contest. I WON! I am so proud. Thank you all for all your support! And my parents insist on me adding a correction that I am not, technically, a bastard.

Sarah Burden’s “Dirty Delft” series of beautiful hand painted images on vintage plates are perfect for your next Triple XXX themed dinner party…like maybe if you had the naked lady sushi thing going on. Hurry over to her etsy site immediately to peruse the collection. Don’t worry, she’s got non-dirty stuff for you too, Sister Sylvia! Pass the soft core boiled eggs!
